How to employ Social Networking to Further Yourself.
A short time ago someone I know said to me “If you are not on Facebook, you fundamentally don’t even exist.” Genuinely, I’m angling towards this opinion. If you would like to actually know a bit about the life of your friends or fellow workers, you just need social networking sites. Keeping in touch is nearly hopeless without them.
Still, staying informed about the life of your buddys and acquaintances surely is not the only use of such websites. Advertising yourself and promoting your product is another point of these sites as many real estate agents have discovered. The times when a billboard or a small advertisement in a newspaper was enough for propagation of one’s work or business are long disappeared and they will never come back. The way to move forward is now the world wide web. If you have an internet connection, it is not hard to find help and advice on making full use of social networking.
Finding your way round websites, different systems of writing and all that goes with making use of the internet, can be difficult for older individuals who are not used to it. Youngsters work with computers from a young age, so are fluent with them, but we, from the older generation, are taking a while to work things out. In spite of the problems we still try. I guess a few of my fellow realtors have the same feelings.
After an exhausting day full of work, driving, telephone calls, meetings and checking out homes, we come home and even if we are extremely exhausted, we check out the real estate news, try to find enthralling topics and write a couple of articles for our blogs, post something on facebook or twitter. Our daily lives now encompasses just that sort of interaction. Inputting articles on our blogs and social network sites is now entertainment. But does the population really worry about what we discuss? For all the work we put into our articles and posts, are only fellow realtors looking at it? Is there an solution to that question, I don’t believe so.
I actually do inspect the websites of my fellow real estate associates and I do read the reports they write, because the topics are of interest. Are these reports of any interest to individuals not involved in the housing market, that I can’t answer. A great advantage of all this is that even if I do not see my colleagues often, I feel like I know them, I know about their lives and opinions just from reading their blogs and posts. So I may not have seen to someone for a long time, but I can truthfully say I have learnt alot about them, and this is thanks to social networking. That sure is brilliant!
As a realtor I deal Condos Toronto, and I found social networking to be one of the key ways of making professional contacts. Hopefully this small article was of any help for you!
