Some people say that you want to be on Facebook or other social networking webpages otherwise you don’t exist. Recently I have seen myself beginning to agree with them all. Social network sites give you an insight into what your friends and fellow workers are doing. Keeping in touch is nearly hopeless without this type of site.

However, staying informed about the life of your friends and acquaintances surely is not the only intention of such websites. Publicizing yourself and promoting your product is another convenience of these sites as many real estate agents have discovered. The times when a billboard or a tiny advertisement in a newspaper was enough for propagation of one’s work or business are long defunct and they will won’t come back. Using and promotion on the internet is now the way to go. If you browse the internet, you will find lots of articles with hints on how to use, and promote yourself, on social networking sites.

Of course it’s much more demanding for older generations to get used to all the types of new websites, systems of writing, commenting and all the related tasks. For the older individual it is going to take time to wade through, whereas kids seem to know how to do it naturally. In spite of the problems we still have a go. Those feelings, I guess, are not just felt by me, but by quite a few realtors out there.

After working all day its not surprising we come home shattered, so it’s nearly impossible to sum up the energy to find interesting things to write about on blogs or make posts on social websites such as facebook and twitter. Nevertheless, saying that it’s does become a portion of our daily routine. Settling down now means going on-line to get our social networking chore done. Is it in vain, or are people intrigued or care about what we post about? Is it only the public that do the same job actually reading the articles and posts we make? Is there an solution to that question, I don’t suppose so.

I actually do inspect the websites of my fellow real estate representatives and I do read the articles they write, because the topics are of interest. But who knows whether their writing also attract ordinary people (I don’t mean this in a negative way, of course), the job of whom is not involved with real estate at all. A great benefit of all this is that even if I do not meet my colleagues often, I feel like I know them, I know about their lives and opinions just from going on to their blogs and posts. So I may not have talked to someone for a long time, but I can honestly say I have learnt alot about them, and this is all down to social networking. That sure is brilliant!

As a realtor I deal Condominiums Toronto, and I found social networking to be one of the key ways of getting new leads. I hope this short article was of any help for you!
