Some people say that you have to be on Facebook or other social networking sites otherwise you don’t exist. Genuinely, I’m starting to lean towards this opinion. If you would like to actually know anything about the life of your friends or fellow workers, you just need social networking sites. Keeping in touch is just about impossible without these websites.

Going on these kind of websites isn’t just about touching base and finding out about your friends and acquaintances lives. Another use of social websites is advertising yourself and bringing in business especially if you are a real estate agent. The times when a billboard or a small advertisement in a newspaper was enough for propagation of one’s work or business are long disappeared and they will won’t come back. The way forward is now the internet and computers. On-line, (what a coincidence) you can come across lots of articles with instructions and working tips on how to use the phenomenon of social networking.

Finding your way round websites, different systems of writing and all that goes with making use of the internet, can be awkward for older people who are not used to it. Our youngsters seem to know it somehow instinctively, but for us, it might take a while to figure out how everything works. Although, we have a go I bet many of my fellow realtors have the same feelings.

After working all day its not surprising we come home shattered, so it’s difficult to sum up the energy to find interesting things to talk about on blogs or make posts on social websites such as facebook and twitter. But, saying that it’s does start to be a portion of our daily lives. Inputting articles on our blogs and social network websites is now relaxation. But does the population really cares about what we discuss? For all the time we put into our blogs and posts, are only fellow realtors looking at it? I suppose we will never know for definite, will we?

One way of keeping up with what fellow realtors are up to for me, is to read their websites and read their articles. Are these articles of any interest to individuals not involved in the property market, that I can’t answer. So now I don’t have to meet or talk to my co-workers often to know what is going on with their lives, I can read about it in their websites and posts. I know now more about colleagues that I haven’t talked to for ages due to the internet and the social network sites. What a awesome concept social networking is.

As a realtor I market Condominiums Toronto, and I believe social networking to be one of the key ways of attracting clients. I hope this small article was of any help for you!
